MV DIYSwitch Kit

MV DIYSwitch Kit

The DIYSwitch is an electronics kit for tinkerers and those who are interested in building an advanced personal vaporizer (APV) of their own design.  Out of the box, everything is included to assemble an APV switch module that incorporates state of the art safety features, switched step-down Voltage regulation from input Voltages of up to 5.5V, and is capable of delivering 4.5ARMS to an attached atomizer.  If variable Voltage functionality is not desired, or to avoid accidentally changing the output Voltage setting during use, the Voltage adjustment capability can be disabled either permanently or with a separate switch.

For those who seek greater functionality, the PCB has been laid out so that major IO lines are accessible for peripheral modules.  An auxiliary output pin is accessible that can be configured, using a button combination, to pull low whenever the output is firing.  Adding a boost circuit is also discussed. Finally, the PIC12F micro-controller is socketed so that the module can be used as a development platform for those who wish to develop their own firmware.  The layout has been setup so that features of different micro-controllers from Microchip's PIC12F lineup can be utilized.
